SCGA CHAMPIONSHIP REGISTRATION INFORMATION
124th SCGA AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP:
Rolling Hills CC, Rolling Hills Estates
July 31 - August 3, 2023
CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT:
- 72 holes; stroke play.
- 84 players, comprised of exempt players and qualifiers, will compete in the championship.
Monday, July 31: Round 1 (18 holes)
Tuesday, August 1: Round 2 (18 holes)
Following the second round, the field will be cut to the low 42 scores (and ties)
Wednesday, August 2: Round 3 (18 holes)
Thursday, August 3: Round 4 (18 holes)
All non-exempt players will participate in an 18-hole, stroke-play qualifying round. The Championship will be a walking-only event. Golf Carts are only permitted during qualifying rounds.

Wednesday, May 31: Steele Canyon GC (Ranch/Vineyard), Jamul
Wednesday, June 7: Brookside GC (Course #1), Pasadena
Friday, June 9: Soule Park GC, Ojai
Tuesday, June 13: Arroyo Trabuco GC, Mission Viejo
Tuesday, June 13: Goose Creek GC, Jurupa Valley
Wednesday, June 28: Rustic Canyon GC, Moorpark
Thursday, June 29: El Dorado Park GC, Long Beach
NOTE: Players may only attempt to qualify once.
ELIGIBILITY: This championship is open to amateurs who are members of a current SCGA member club with a Handicap Index of 5.4 or less at the time of registration.
EXEMPTIONS: All exempt players must still meet eligibility requirements and register online for the championship prior to the entry closing date. The current list of exemptions can be found online by clicking here.
ENTRIES OPEN: Wednesday, January 11, 2023
ENTRY DEADLINE: Sunday, May 21, 2023
INFORMATION & PAIRINGS: Complete tournament details, including information about practice rounds, pairings, starting times, and yardages played, will be emailed, and posted on scga.org/amateur after entries close.
ENTRY FEE: $140
LATE ENTRIES: The SCGA accepts late entries, assuming space is still available at the given event. Late entries will be subject to an additional $20 fee and can only be processed over the phone or through email.
REFUND POLICY: Requests for refunds prior to the entry closing date will be honored less a $20 administrative fee. Requests received after the entry closing date and 48 hours prior to the event will be honored less 50% of the entry fee. No refunds will be honored within 48 hours of the event.
